A hidden sanctuary outside of Luray, Virginia and nestled in the lush Shenandoah Valley you will find two riverfront cabins.  The living area is surrounded by glass walls facing the river with a separate private bedroom.  Each cabin has either a pull out sofa bed for extra guests.  The kitchen area is simple with a small refrigerator, microwave, sink, counter and electric skillet.  Sitting out on the coffee porch watching the river go by is most guests idea of a complete recharge.

If more than just escape is on your mind when you head our way, the area is rich with other activities such as horseback riding, the Luray Caverns, wineries, water sports, relaxing dining and touring the nearby Skyline Drive.


A Sample 4 Day Trip Itinerary You Should Consider

Here is just a sample of the things you can do on your trip to Page County, Virginia. Depending on the season, or the day of the week, you can change up this itinerary to suit your needs and activities in the county.

Did we say 4 days? Hmmm. . . there is still so much to see and do. . . you just can't fit it all in!  So. . .you will just have to plan to come back and visit with us again!

Day 1:

Spend the day on the Shenandoah River. Try your hand at fishing, canoeing, kayaking, or tubing. How about renting an ATV or experience some other exciting outdoor adventures?

After a busy day, relax and have dinner at one of our local restaurants. You'll find everything from "down home" cooking to fine gourmet meals.

Day 2:

Spend part of your day underground, then explore other outdoor fun and adventure around our Valley.

  • Discover Luray Caverns then enjoy the Car& Carriage Museum, and in a visit to the Luray Valley Museum & Gardens
  • You will have so much fun trying to find your way around theGarden Maze
  • Still want to see more caverns? Try Endless Caverns andShenandoah Caverns. Each offers it own unique formations and are just a short drive from Luray.
  • How long has it been since you were on a trail ride? Try a horseback ride at Fort Valley Stables or at Jordan Hollow Stables.
  • For golfers, nothing is better than a round of golf at the Caverns Country Club, its hard to pay attention when you are surrounded by nature on this beautiful course.

Day 3:

Spend the day in Shenandoah National Park. There is so much to see and do in the park. We hope you will share your photos with us and will come and see the beauty for yourself in every season.

  • Hiking on Numerous Trails
  • Walk to Dark Hollow Falls
  • Go horseback riding in the park
  • Take part in some of the Ranger Walks
  • Taste some blackberry ice cream at one of the park's lodges

Day 4:

  • Just want to relax and enjoy some time at the beach? Yes we have one at Lake Arrowhead. You can swim and ride in a paddle boat.Take along a nice picnic lunch. Eat at one of the park's pavilions or just sit down under a shade tree.
  • Interested in the history of this area? Visit the many Civil War andhistoric sites in and around Page County.
  • Experience a rescue zoo up close and personal at the Luray Zoo.
  • Spend some time shopping in our numerous antique and specialty stores in Luray, Shenandoah, and Stanley.
  • View the work of our talented artists in local galleries and view the murals on the buildings around town.
  • Get a scoop of ice cream before you take a stroll or ride a rentedbicyle on our award winning Hawksbill Greenway.
  • Test your mountain biking skills at the Big Gem Park in Shenandoah.
  • Finish the day with an evening of entertainment at the Performing Arts Center, a free concert on the Plaza, or experience a stock car race at Shenandoah Speedway.
